Are Snow Tires Right for Your Car?
Many believe they don’t need winter tires because they have front-wheel-drive and anti-skid systems, and they’re right; often, you don’t need snow tires – but if you really want to keep you and yours safe, there are two things you should know.
Manufacturers have been putting wider, low-profile tires on cars for styling purposes, both of which make a tire worse in the snow. Plus, winter tires have undergone several improvements in recent years, including the fact that they are now quieter on dry roads.
